# CLASS-1ADDITION OF SINGLE DIGIT NUMBER

ADDITION OF TWO SINGLE DIGIT NUMBER -

To add a single-digit number to another number, you can follow these steps:

Adding a single-digit number is straightforward. Here's an example:

Example.1) Let's say we want to add 4 to a number, let's say 6.

6 + 4 = 10

So, adding 4 to 6 gives us 10.

Similarly, you can add any single-digit number to another number by simply adding the digits together. The result will be a new number.

Example.2)

Adding two single-digit numbers is a simple process. Here's an example:

3 + 7 = 10

So, when you add 3 and 7, the sum is 10.

You can apply the same process to add any two single-digit numbers together. Simply add the corresponding digits, and if the sum is greater than 9, carry over the tens digit to the next place value.

Examples.3)

1. Align the numbers vertically, with the single-digit number below the other number.

6

+ 7
------

2.Start adding the digits in the rightmost column (ones column). In this case, it's 6 + 7, which equals 13

6

+ 7
------
3

In this case, the final result is 13, which is the sum of 6 and 7.

Remember to carry over any digits when the sum of digits in a column is greater than 9.
