CONCEPT OF VENN DIAGRAM

**VENN DIAGRAM**

**A Venn Diagram is a closed figure used to denote a set which
means points within such a closed figure represent the element of the set.
Venn diagram can be used to represent the relationship between sets**

**The universal set U is usually represented by a rectangle,
all other sets are represented by a closed curved figure ( Usually Circle ) within
the rectangle. It has been considered that, all the elements of a set are to be indicated by points which are situated inside the
circle representing the set.**

**The elements also can be written inside the circle without
marketing the points. An object which is
not a member of a set is placed outside the circle representing the set.**

**Example.- The
set A = { 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 } can be
represented by either of the two diagrams shown, here 7 ∉ A**
