VENN DIAGRAM

A Venn Diagram is a closed figure used to denote a set which means points within such a closed figure represent the element of the set. Venn diagram can be used to represent the relationship between sets

The universal set U is usually represented by a rectangle, all other sets are represented by a closed curved figure ( Usually Circle ) within the rectangle. It has been considered that, all the elements of a set are to be indicated by points which are situated inside the circle representing the set.

The elements also can be written inside the circle without marketing the points. An object which is not a member of a set is placed outside the circle representing the set.

Example.- The set A = { 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 } can be represented by either of the two diagrams shown, here 7 A
