GEOMETRY-TRIANGLE-CONGRUENCE

CONGRUENCE

If the shape and the size of two geometrical figures ‘L’ & ‘M’ be the same then we can say that ‘L’ and ‘M’ are Congruent and denote this as ‘L’ ≅ ‘M’.  Two congruent figures can be superimposed on each other.

Example.1)  When two line segments are of equal length, they are congruent. Also, two line segments are congruent, their lengths are equal.

Example.2) If two angles are of equal measure, they are congruent. If ∠AOB  = ∠COD then ∠AOB ≅ ∠COD. Also if two angles are congruent then they are of equal measure.
