CLASS-8
PERIMETER OF TRIANGLE

PERIMETER OF A TRIANGLE –

The term Perimeter is already known by us, now we will learn the calculation of perimeter of triangle, let us recall the definition of perimeter.

Perimeter – The perimeter (P) of a closed plane curve is the total length of the curve. The unit of the perimeter is measured by the unit of length.

Triangle – In this section he have to learn, how to calculate the perimeter of a triangle.

The Perimeter of a Triangle –

the perimeter of a triangle PQR = the sum of the lengths of its three sides

      =  PQ + QR + PR = a + b + c

Example. – The perimeter of a ∆ PQR in which PQ = 10 cm, QR = 25 cm, and PR = 15 cm. So, the perimeter of the ∆ PQR = sum of sides of a triangle = sum of (10 + 25 + 15) cm = 50 cm.
