Subtraction of Integers
Subtraction is nothing but the inverse of addition. To subtraction of integers from the given integers, add the integer with the opposite sign to the given integers. => a – b = a + (-b)
Example.1) 120 – 85 = 120 + (-85) = 35
Example.2) (-112) + (-45) = - ( 112 + 45 ) = - 157
Example.3) (-75) + (+25) = - ( 75 – 25 ) = - 50
