FINDING PERCENTAGE ONE NUMBER OF ANOTHER NUMBER

FINDING PERCENTAGE ONE NUMBER OF ANOTHER NUMBER-

To express one quantity as a percentage of another quantity, you can use the formula:

Percentage = (Part / Whole) * 100

                     OR

                    One Quantity

Percentage = (------------------ X 100)%

                  Another Quantity

Where:

  • Part:- The quantity you want to express as a percentage of the whole.
  • Whole:- The total quantity or the reference value.

Let's work through an example:

Suppose you have a basket of 40 apples, and 12 of them are green apples. You want to express the number of green apples as a percentage of the total number of apples.

Ans.)

Part (Green apples) = 12
Whole (Total apples) = 40

Percentage = (12 / 40) * 100 = 0.3 * 100 = 30%

So, 30% of the apples in the basket are green apples.

If you have a different scenario or specific numbers you'd like to use, feel free to provide them, and I'll assist you with the calculation!
