INTEGERS IN NUMBER LINE

INTEGERS IN NUMBER LINE –

From above Integers number line, we can observe that the arrows at the two end of the same number line indicates that, it extends un-limited or indefinitely in both the direction. If we represent both signed numbers in a single number line then the signed numbers or Integers situated on the right are greater than integers situated at left.

Important things to remember about Integers -

a) ‘0’ (Zero) is less than every ‘+’ positive Integers.

b) ‘0’ (Zero) is greater than every ‘-’ negative Integers.

c) Every (+) positive Integers is greater than (-) negative Integers

d) The greater is the Integers, the lesser is it’s negative.

Example; 10 < 15  but  -10 > -15

And when 50 > 25  but  -50  < -25
