CLASS-6
CIRCUMFERENCE OF A CIRCLE

CIRCUMFERENCE OF A CIRCLE -

The circumference (C) of a circle is given by the formula:

                C = 2πr

where π is a mathematical constant approximately equal to 3.14159, and r is the radius of the circle.

Alternatively, you can use the diameter (d) to find the circumference:

                C = πd

The relationship between the radius and diameter is d = 2r, so you can use either the radius or the diameter in the formulas.

Geometry

The whole arc of the circle is called circumference of the circle.

The length of the circumference of a circle is the length of its whole arc. Usually, the term circumference of a circle refers to its length.
