ADDITION OF UNLIKE FRACTION

 Step.1) Take Denominator of ‘Unlike Fraction’ for finding LCM and convert into ‘Like Fraction’ and consider their ‘Denominator’ as common  ‘Denominator’ and placed at Denominator position of new obtained Fraction.

LCM of 16 and 24 = 4 x 2 x 2 x 3 = 48

         3           3 X 3                                      9

 -------- = ----------  ( Where 48 ÷ 16 = 3 ) = --------

     16          16 X 3                                    48

         5           5 X 2                                      10

  ------- = -----------  ( Where 48 ÷ 24 = 2 ) = ---------

       24          24 X 2                                     48

     3           5           9 + 10            19                       

 ------- + -------  = ----------  =  --------

    16           24             48                48  

Step.2)  Add ‘Numerator’ of both fraction and result to be placed at ‘Numerator’.
