1) Tom has purchased 15 toffees for his 5 friends. Now tell each of his friends will receive how many toffees?
Ans.) Tom has purchased 15 toffees for his 5 friends.
That can be distributed in this way= 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3
But, the procedure of distribution should be - 5 ) 1 5 ( 3
(Recall the table of 5) 1 5

2) Mr. Philip has purchased 75 apples to distribute 15 orphans, now tell how many apples will be received each orphan ?
Ans.) Mr. Philip has purchased 75 apples for 15 orphans.
That can be distributed in this way= 15 + 15 + 15 + 15 + 15 = 75
(Where ever we are determined to distribute something, we need to think about division, where 75 is ‘Dividend’ and 15 is ‘Divisor’, so now recall the table of 15)
Then, every orphan should get - 15 ) 7 5 ( 5

3) If there are 20 boxes, and 500 oranges to be packed by those boxes, then each box will contain how many oranges ?
