PROPERTIES OF MULTIPLICATION :-
1. The product of a number by 1 is the number itself.
Example: 3,78,762 x 1 = 3,78,762
2. The product of a number by zero is always zero.
Example: 34,764 x 0 = 0
3. Commutative property of multiplication:-
The product of two numbers does not change when we change the order of numbers.
Example.1) 25 x 20 = 500, and 20 x 25 = 500
∴ 25 x 20 = 20 x 25
4. Associative property of multiplication :-
The product of three numbers does not change when we change their grouping.
Example: (35 x 20) x 30 = 700 x 30 = 21,000
35 x ( 20 x 30 ) = 35 x 600 = 21,000
(35 x 30) x 20 = 1050 x 20 = 21,000
