EVEN AND ODD NUMBERS -
Ø EVEN NUMBERS – Numbers which are exactly divisible by 2 are called even numbers.
Example. - 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, ..............
And, if they have any of the digits 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 at one’s place, then the given number also will be divisible by 2
Example: 48 ; 870 ; 10282
Ø ODD NUMBERS – Numbers which are not exactly divisible by 2 are called odd numbers.
If in given number, they have any of the digit 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 at one’s place.
Example: 71 ; 495 ; 5649
ü So, we can very easily identify even and odd numbers.
