ADDITION OF MIX FRACTION WITH SAME DENOMINATOR -
As we know so far, the addition of digit and also addition of fraction. Now we will learn, how to add mix fraction. Process of addition of mix fraction is like same as addition of fraction, but before that we have some process to convert from mix fraction to fraction.
There are some steps are discussed below for addition of fraction -
Step.1) Convert to improper fractions.
Step.2) Add only the numerators, not the denominators. When we add or subtract fractions with same denominator, we just add or subtract the numerators and keep the denominator same.
Step.3) Convert the improper fraction to mixed number as the denominator is smaller than the numerator.
