__ARRANGE DECIMAL NUMBER IN ASCENDING ORDER -__

**Earlier we have learn, how to arrange digit or numbers in small to big (Ascending) orders. Now we will learn how to arrange decimal numbers in ascending order.**

**Rules or steps for finding decimal number in ascending order**

__Step.1)__ Write the decimal
fractions one below the other column wise.

__Step.2)__ Convert all decimal numbers into highest decimal places.

__Step.3)__ Compare each place value and then arrange from small to big.

__Step.4)__ Write the answers using the greater than ( > ) or less than ( < ) sign.

**Example.1) Arrange the numbers 0.7, 0.962, 1.05, 0.89, 2.354, 1.09, 42.1, 0.98, 5.238, 6.32 in ascending order. Also find smallest and biggest number.**

**Ans.)**

**As you can see from the above table, we have converted all the given decimal number into highest decimal places.**

__Step.1)__ Write the given decimal fractions one below the other as shown above, column wise.

__Step.2)__ The highest decimal place is 3, so convert the rest decimals to 3 decimal places.

__Step.3)__ Compare each place value and then arrange from small to big.

**So, the given numbers in ascending orders are - 0.7, 0.89, 0.962, 0.98, 1.05, 1.09, 2.354, 5.238, 6.32, 42.1 **

**Step.4) Write the answers using the greater than ( > ) or less than ( < ) sign.**

** So, as per ascending (small to big) order we have - **

**0.7 < 0.89 < 0.962 < 0.98 < 1.05 < 1.09 < 2.354 < 5.238 < 6.32 < 42.1 **

**So, the smallest number is 0.7 and the biggest number is 42.1 (Ans.)**

**Example.2) Arrange the numbers 123.86, 25.9, 11.05, 9.898, 29.35, 1.093, 42.457, 78.98, 54.287, 69.32 in ascending order. Also find smallest and biggest number.**

**Ans.)**

**As you can see from the above table, we have converted all the given decimal number into highest decimal places.**
