Place value

When you look at the number 444, then you will find the digit 4 is the same in all the places, Does each digit have same place value? Absolutely not. Numbers such as 444, have 3 digits, each digit has definite place value. The extreme right digit is at the ones place, the second digit from the right is at the tens place, and digit at the extreme left is at the hundreds place

Face Value - The face value of a digit in a number is the digit itself.
