CLASS-2MULTIPLICATION VIA USING NUMBER TABLE

MULTIPLICATION WITH THE HELP OF TABLE

Multiplication with the help of table will be performed by recall of number table as per requirement.

Example.1)  Multiply 5 by 3

Ans.)  Here the given calculation is - multiply 5 by 3

Here we can observe that there are two digit in the above given calculation is 5 & 3 respectively, so we have to recall the table either 5 or 3

Table of 5                                   Table of 3

5 X 1 = 5                                    3 X 1 = 3

5 X 2 = 10                                   3 X 2 = 6

5 X 3 = 15                                   3 X 3 = 9

5 X 4 = 20                                   3 X 4 = 12

5 X 5 = 25                                   3 X 5 = 15

5 X 6 = 30                                   3 X 6 = 18

5 X 7 = 35                                   3 X 7 = 21

5 X 8 = 40                                   3 X 8 = 24

5 X 9 = 45                                   3 X 9 = 27

5 X 10 = 50                                  3 X 10 = 10

From the above two number table of 5 & 3 we can find –

multiply 5 by 3 = 5 X 3 = 3 X 5 = 15

so, multiply 5 by 3 = 15        (Ans.)

Example.2)  Multiply 8 by 6

Ans.)  Here the given calculation is - multiply 8 by 6

Here we can observe that there are two digit in the above given calculation is 8 & 6 respectively, so we have to recall the table either 8 or 6.

Table of 8                  Table of 6

8 X 1 = 8                   6 X 1 = 6

8 X 2 = 16                  6 X 2 = 12

8 X 3 = 24                  6 X 3 = 18

8 X 4 = 32                  6 X 4 = 24

8 X 5 = 40                  6 X 5 = 30

8 X 6 = 48                  6 X 6 = 36

8 X 7 = 56                  6 X 7 = 42

8 X 8 = 64                  6 X 8 = 48

8 X 9 = 72                  6 X 9 = 54

8 X 10 = 80                 6 X 10 = 60

From the above two number table of 8 & 6 we can find –

multiply 8 by 6 = 8 X 6 = 6 X 8 = 48

so, multiply 8 by 6 =  48        (Ans.)

Example.3)  Multiply 9 by 10

Ans.)  Here the given calculation is - multiply 9 by 10

Here we can observe that there are two digit in the above given calculation is 9 & 10 respectively, so we have to recall the table either 9 or 10.

Table of 9                            Table of 10

9 X 1 = 9                               10 X 1 = 10

9 X 2 = 18                              10 X 2 = 20

9 X 3 = 27                              10 X 3 = 30

9 X 4 = 36                              10 X 4 = 40

9 X 5 = 45                              10 X 5 = 50

9 X 6 = 54                              10 X 6 = 60

9 X 7 = 63                              10 X 7 = 70

9 X 8 = 72                              10 X 8 = 80

9 X 9 = 81                              10 X 9 = 90

9 X 10 = 90                             10 X 10 = 100

From the above two number table of 9 & 10 we can find –

Multiply 9 by 10 =  9 X 10 = 10 X 9 = 90

so, multiply 9 by 1090        (Ans.)
