IMPORTANT RULES ABOUT DIVISION

Division by ‘0’ (ZERO) –

A)  If you divide ‘0’ (Zero) by any number the result will be ‘0’ (Zero).

For example –

1)  0 ÷ 5 = 0 , 2)  0 ÷ 9 = 0 , 3) 0 ÷ 15 = 0

B)  If you wish to divide any number by ‘0’ (Zero), it is not possible to happen.

For example –

1)  8 ÷ 0 = Not possible

Division by ‘1’ (ONE) –

A)  If you divide any number by the same number, then the result will be ‘1’ (One)

For Example -

1) 8 ÷ 8 = 1 , 2) 9 ÷ 9 = 1 , 3) 15 ÷ 15 = 1 , 4) 28 ÷ 28 = 1 ,

5) 35 ÷35 = 1    (Ans.)

B)  If you Divide any number by 1 gives the same number itself as quotient.

For Example -

1) 20 ÷ 1 = 20 , 2) 9 ÷ 1 = 9 , 3) 25 ÷ 1 = 25 , 4) 18 ÷ 1 = 18 ,

5) 42 ÷ 1 = 42     (Ans.)
